Campaign Management
With over 30 years’ experience, The Parish Group can lead candidates through the chaos of an electoral campaign. By analyzing a candidate’s assets and liabilities, political environment and jurisdictional voter history, we can develop the road map necessary to lead a campaign to victory. Here are just a few of the components and variables candidates have to ask themselves when assembling a plan:
How many votes do I need to get elected and where will they come from?
How do I present myself to the electorate?
What local election laws must I comply with?
How do I begin fundraising? What messages will resonate most powerfully with my voters?
What kind of staff do I need?
What polling, opposition research and assessments do I need?
When should I announce my candidacy?
How do I Incorporate new media into my campaign?
These threshold questions are especially important for candidates running for office for the first time. The Parish Group will ask — and help you answer — the tough questions now to give yourself the best possible chance to win.
Once we’ve laid out the plan, we are often called upon to run the campaign. As day-to-day managers, we will implement a game plan that is designed to accentuate the candidate's strengths. From the moment a candidate announces their intention to run to the cast of the final ballot, The Parish Group works alongside its clients every step of the way.
Candidate Training
Winning office is a process that starts long before Election Day. A candidate’s message — and how it is presented — must be defined and refined so that it resonates. For example, the Democratic Party of a state may called upon The Parish Group to help mold a slate of candidates across the state. We’ll do an assessment with the candidates to get them into shape.
This starts with the reality check: What the office they’re running for means; obligations to life and family; strengths and liabilities going in; and the principals of individual, Institutional and Party-backed fundraising. All these issues get people in position ready to run.
